KITEBOARDER LEVEL1
1. Theory about the safety rules, wind window, control bar safety systems, kite & board technology and spot analysis. 2. Short time 2-3 meter foil kite flying on the beach. 3. Set up 4 line SLE inflatable kite, pump bladders, and roll the lines, rigging the bridles, connection to the attachments, pre flight check. 4. Launching & landing the kite alone with the sand on the beach. 5. Flying the kite with short lines 10 to 15 meters. 6. Let go the bar. 7. Flying the kite in a shallow water figure 8 in the power zone 8. Short body drags. 9. Let go the bar and relaunch the kite from the water. 11. Set up the kite with 20 meter lines. 12. Flying the kite and check, if the students remember the wind window key words (9, 12, 3, o’clock, power zone…) 13. Launching & landing the kite alone with the sand (20m lines). 14. Let go the bar and relaunch the kite from the water (20m lines). 15. Let go the bar and take the kite, bar, lines buck together (20m lines). 16. 1000 meters down wind body dragging with harness, awareness of position in space (starting point, arrival point). 17. Piloting & walking up wind with one hand on the bar, with harness. 18. Theory feedback. 19. Theories about what we do at level 2.
KITEBOARDER LEVEL 2
1. Theory about the, kite aerodynamics, performance (aspect ratios), tips of kiteboards, 5. Quick release, in level 2 we teach the students to use the quick release safety system very often during the lesson because we have to make sure that in case of emergency our students will be the faster! 7. Quick release the kite and relaunch from the water 8. Self rescue,- quick release, and take kite, bar, lines buck together 9. 1000 meters body dragging down wind awareness of position in space (starting point, arrival point). 10. Body dragging up-wind using body positioning and piloting of the kite to move in wanted direction (once to the left then to the right). 11. One handed body dragging for the kiteboard rescue. 12. One handed piloting the kite. 13. Generating steady pull in starting position on the board. 14. Tying the board leash alone. 15. Water start, first small rides both sides 17. Feedback theory and about what we do at level 3.
KITEBOARDER LEVEL 3
1. Theory about priority rules. 2. Set up 1-2 meters smaller size kite, for the wind conditions of the day. 3. Water start, changing of direction up & down to the wind (edging up & down) 4. Holding the edge of the board, pushing and feet position. 5. Walking up wind with one hand one the bar, and the other holding the board. 6. Choosing the right size kite. 7. Methods of flying to de-power the kite, theoretical lesson about edge control. 8. Start to ride up wind. 9. Knowledge about where to focus to keep the right stance and kite position. 10. Remove the board leash, and practice again body dragging up wind to rescue the board. 11. Riding a shorter twin tip board. 12. Switch direction. 13. First jump.
